CEBUANA LHUILLIER 24K VIRTUAL CARD
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. DEFINITION OF TERMS
As used herein, the following terms shall have the corresponding meaning:
"24k VIRTUAL CARD" - refers to the Membership Card issued by PJ Lhuillier, Inc.
(Cebuana Lhuillier) as part of its Rewards Card Program for its clients.
"24k ONLINE PORTAL" - refers to the web and mobile responsive portal
of Cebuana Lhuillier.
"CARD HOLDER" - refers to a person issued with a 24k Virtual Card.
"ISSUER"- P.J. Lhuillier, Inc. (Cebuana Lhuillier)
"SERVICES" - all the services provided by PJ Lhuillier, Inc. via 24k
Online Portal's card holder, and "Service" means any one of them.
"REGISTER/REGISTRATION" - to create an account on the 24k Online Portal.
2. THE CEBUANA LHUILLIER 24k CARD ("24k CARD")
The 24k Virtual Card is the sole property of PJ Lhuillier Inc (Cebuana Lhuillier).
The privileges of the 24k Virtual Card may be revoked, terminated, withheld or
suspended by the issuer at any time and for whatever reason or cause without need
of prior notice to the Cardholder. The Cardholder agrees to hold the issuer free
and harmless from any claim for damages arising from such termination, withholding
or suspension.
3. RESPONSIBILITY OF CARD HOLDER
The Cardholder shall be liable for all transactions made through the use of the
24k Virtual Card.
4. MEMBERSHIP
All Cebuana Lhuillier clients can apply for the 24k Virtual Card. Existing 24k Cardholders
have the option to also apply for the 24k Virtual Card.
5. TERMS OF USE
By using this website (“24k Online Portal”), you agree to be bound by these
Terms and Conditions of Use. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at
any time. If you disagree with any of these Terms and Conditions of Use, you must
immediately discontinue your access to 24k Online Portal and your use of its services.
Continued use of 24k Online Portal will mean that you accept these Terms and Conditions
of Use, and you accept the likelihood of its amendment from time to time.
6. APPLICABILITY OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The use of any Services and/or the 24k Online Portal is subject to these Terms and
Conditions of Use. 24k Online Portal can be accessed through a desktop, PC, or mobile
device using a web browser. User must register to utilize the 24k Online Portal. 24k
Online Portal will be made available to card holders with no fee, unless otherwise
determined by the issuer.
The 24k Online Portal is completely customer self-service where card holder shall
enter/provide the 24k card number and preferred password. The issuer recommends the
use of a strong but easy to remember log in details.
24k Online Portal processes financial and non-financial transactions such as:
View and Transfer Points, Domestic and International Partner Search, Domestic
Remittance Tracking, Branch Locator, Buy e-Load Using Points, Appraisal Calculator,
Online Appointment, Buy Insurance Using Points, Change Password, and View Personal
Information
We reserve the right to change, modify, substitute, suspend or remove without
notice any information or Services on the 24k Online Portal from time to time.
Your access to the 24k Online Portal and/or the Services may also be occasionally
restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or introduction of new facilities and
or services. We will attempt to restore such access as soon as we reasonably can.
We reserve the right to block access and or edit or remove any material which in our
reasonable opinion may give rise to a breach of these Terms and Conditions of Use
Cardholder has full responsibility over the security of his/her PC, Mobile Device/s,
SIM card and confidentiality of his/her User ID and password/s and all transactions,
whether valid or fraudulent, authorized or unauthorized, made through said PC, Mobile
Device/s/SIM card and via 24k Online Portal, if such fraudulent or unauthorized
transaction was caused by or is a result of the User's fault or negligence. The issuer
encourages the cardholder to change password regularly, especially when account
details have been exposed.
It is cardholder's sole responsibility to change the password through 24k Online Portal
if its confidentially has been reasonably suspected to have been compromised to avoid
any unauthorized use of the cardholder's account. The issuer shall not be liable for
any unauthorized use / misuse of the 24k Online Portal due to theft or loss of the PC,
Mobile Device/SIM.
7. HOW TO EARN AND REDEEM REWARDS POINTS
There are six ways that the card holder can earn reward points:
1) Pawning Transactions (sangla, tubos, at tubo) - monthly interest and liquidated
damages paid by the pawner will earn a corresponding number of reward points.
2) Domestic Sending Money Remittance Transactions - remittance service fee paid by the
sender will earn a corresponding number of reward points.
3) International Remittance Transactions - every international sending transaction will
earn five (5) points and three (3) points for every international payout transaction.
4) ACP Gold or ProtectMax Transactions - every Certificate of Cover (COC) purchased will
earn one (1) point.
5) New MicroSavings Account - New MicroSavings account will earn 2 points.
6) Select eCebuana App Transactions - earn 1 point for PHP500 and up principal or
transaction amount (Bills Payment, Load Top-up, DomRem via Cash Pickup, Fund Transfer)
- If no error is reported by a Card Holder within 7 days from the last transaction,
Reward Points reflected on the receipt shall be deemed correct
- Fraud and abuse relating to earning and transfer of points in the rewards program
may result to forfeiture of accumulated points as well as the cancellation of a Card
Holder's 24k Card or Virtual Card.
- Fraud and abuse relating to earning and transfer of points in the rewards program may

Holder's 24k Card or Virtual Card.
- The issuer reserves the right to change the Rewards Points earning rate. The issuer
also reserves the right to restrict or limit the number of Rewards Points earned on
each transaction in connection with special program, facilities and promotional
activities.
8. PARTICIPATING PERSON
Only Card Holders of the 24k Card and 24k Virtual Card are eligible to participate in the
Rewards Program.
9. PRIVILEGES
- The cardholder will be entitled to discount on transaction fees and certain privileges
in selected merchants and partner establishments.
- The cardholder is also entitled to special service offerings and other exciting
freebies.
10. EXPIRY OF REWARD POINTS
If a 24k Virtual Card is dormant for one (1) year, the stored Reward Points shall be
forfeited.
11. ACCREDITTED ESTABLISHMENT
The Issuer shall be honored at all accredited merchants. However, the Issuer shall not
be liable to the Cardholder, if for any reason, the Merchant does not honor the 24k
Virtual Card. The Cardholder agrees to hold the Issuer free and harmless from any and all
claims for damages resulting from acceptance or non-acceptance by an accredited merchant.
12. TERMINATION
In the event the Cardholder (i) fails to comply with any of the terms and conditions
governing the use of the 24k Virtual Card, or (ii) for any reason, the Cardholder dies, the
right to use the 24k Virtual Card shall forthwith be terminated, without the necessity of
demand, which the Cardholder hereby waives.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In the event of any action which a Card Holder may file against the Issuer for any cause
whatsoever, the Card Holder agrees that the Issuer has no liability. If any, it shall not
exceed the amount of One Thousand Pesos (Php1, 000.00) or the damages actually proven to have
been suffered by the Card Holder, whichever is lesser.
14. PROMOS
The Card Holder hereby authorizes Issuer and its affiliates to offer participation to
promotional offers, advertisements, surveys or other similar programs by communicating in any
means of communication.
15. AMENDMENTS
Issuer may, with or without prior notice, at any time and for whatsoever reason it may deem
proper, amend, revise or modify the terms and conditions hereof, and any such amendment shall
bind the Card Holder.
16. NON-WAIVER OF RIGHTS
No failure or delay on the part of the Issuer in exercising any right or power hereunder
shall operate as a waiver thereof nor shall any partial or single exercise of any such right
or power preclude any other right or power there under. No waiver by Issuer of any of its or
powers herein shall be deemed to have been made unless expressed in writing and signed by its
duly authorized representative(s).
17. ASSIGNMENT/TRANSFER OF RIGHTS
All rights and interests of the Issuer under this Agreement may be assigned or transferred
by the Issuer without the consent of the Card Holder, his/her supplementary or surety(ies),
if any.
18. COMPLIANCE
The Cardholder agrees to fully comply and abide by the terms and conditions governing the
use of the card, laws, statuses and regulations and other access devices in commercial
transactions.
19. BINDING EFFECT
The terms and conditions provided herein, all bind the parties, their heirs, executors
and administrators, as well as their successors and assigns. The Cardholder confirms to
have read and understood the Terms and Conditions herein by agreeing on the 24K Virtual
Card.
Data Privacy Policy
P.J. LHUILLIER, INC. respects our customers’ fundamental right to privacy, and we commit
to take great care in safeguarding your personal data. We have developed a Privacy Policy
that aims to ensure that we adopt and observe appropriate standards for personal data
protection in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and
its implementing rules and regulations.
While our Privacy Policy sets out the general principles that govern the collection, use,
and disclosure of our customers’ personal information, we have also developed this
Privacy Commitment to inform you more specifically about our privacy practices.
Why we collect your personal information
As a member of the 24K Program, we collect and maintain some basic information
about you. We do so only for the following purposes:
- To create and nurture a relationship with you, so that we can continuously provide you
with the various services and perks made available by the 24K Program. For example, when
you submit your application form to join the Program, we collect personal information
about you that will allow us to validate your identity and transaction history to
determine if you are qualified to receive reward points.
- To improve our Program. We collect, use, process, and analyze your Program related
activities so that we can understand how to improve our Program for your benefit.
- To understand your needs and preferences so that we can serve you better. Maintaining a
record of the products and services that you avail the 24K Program allows us to gain a
better insight of the kinds of offers that would be relevant to your preferences. We may
send you product recommendations and special offers that we think will interest you.
- To continuously improve our business and operations. For example, we provide customer
care activities, monitor the quality and security of the network, train our staff, and
plan for future growth.
- To meet legal and regulatory requirements. We perform such other processing or disclosure
that may be required to comply with pertinent laws, rules, or regulations.
Where we get these information
There are several ways we collect information about you.
Information that you personally give us.
Most of the personal information we have are those that you have given us yourself.
You provide us personal information when you:
- Apply for membership by filling out Application Forms, Subscription Agreements, and other
similar or related documents through any of our available channels, including any similar
forms you submit to your service providers (online, in our stores, or through our Sales
representatives);
- Get in touch with us to ask about something or request for service;
- Take part in our research and surveys;
We also collect information as you avail of the services of the Program, like when
you:
- Use our facilities and services;
- Use our apps, websites, and self-service channels and portals;
- Join Program activities
Information we collect from other sources
We also collect personal information about you through other activities such as our market
research initiatives, when you visit and transact in our stores, when you visit and use our website, and
from our subsidiaries, affiliates, and third-party business partners to whom you have given your consent
for them to share your information with us.
When we disclose personal information
There are a variety of circumstances where we may need to share some of the information
that you have provided to us. In these cases, we ensure that your personal information is disclosed on a
confidential basis, through secure channels, and only in compliance with the Data Privacy Act.
We will never share, rent, or sell your personal information to third parties outside of PJLI. Except in
special circumstances where you may have given your specific consent for, and as described in this
policy.
In some instances, we may be required to disclose your personal information to our agents, subsidiaries,
affiliates, business partners and other third-party agencies and service providers as part of our regular
business operations and for the provision of our products and services. This means we may share your
information with:
- Our service providers, contractors, and professional advisers who help us provide our products
and services. This includes partner companies, organizations, or agencies, and their
sub-contractors;
- Our Subsidiaries and Affiliates with whom you have also signed-up with. We do so only for the
improvement of each other’s business and operations;
- Other companies to whom you have also given consent for us to share your information with; and
- Law enforcement and government agencies, but only when required by laws and regulations and other
lawful orders and processes.

How we protect your personal information
The integrity, confidentiality, and security of your information are important to us.
That’s why we strictly enforce our Privacy Policy within PJLI and have implemented technical,
organizational, and physical security measures that are designed to protect your information from
unauthorized or fraudulent access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, and other unlawful activities.
These are also designed to protect your information from other natural and human dangers.
We also put in effect the following safeguards:
- We keep and protect your information using industry-standard security like firewall, encryption
and security controls;
- We keep your information only for as long as necessary for us to (a) provide the products and
services that you avail from us, (b) for our legitimate business purposes, (c) to comply with
pertinent laws, and (d) for special cases that will require the exercise or defense of legal
claims;
- We restrict access to your information only to qualified and authorized personnel who are
trained to handle your information with strict confidentiality.
- We undergo regular audits, rigorous testing of our infrastructure’s security protocols, may
include independent third-party audits and testing to ensure your data is always

- We promptly notify you and the National Privacy Commission, when sensitive personal information
that may, under the circumstances, be used to enable identity fraud are reasonably believed to
have been acquired by an unauthorized person;
- We let you update your information securely to keep our records accurate.
We will not collect, use, or disclose your personal information for any purpose other
than those identified in this Commitment, Terms of Service, and any other purpose that you may have
given your consent for.
What your choices are
You are afforded certain rights in relation to your personal data under the Data
Privacy Act. We would like to ensure that we have your consent to continue to collect, use, and
disclose your personal information for the purposes that we have identified. At the same time,
we want you to know that you do have choices and can object or withdraw your consent and/or edit
your consent preferences at any time.
If you wish to have access to your personal information in our records; or you think that such
personal information we have of you is incomplete, not up-to-date, or otherwise inaccurate, you
may get in touch with us at PJLI. In some instances, we may request for supporting documents or
proof before we effect any requested changes to your personal information.
What happens when there are changes in our Policy
From time to time, we may update our privacy policy and practices to comply with
changes in applicable laws, to comply with government and regulatory requirements, to adapt to
new technologies and protocols, to align with industry best practices, and for business
purposes.
You will always be provided notice either through SMS, e-mail , the website, or app if these
changes are significant and, if we are required by law, we will ensure to obtain your updated
consent.

Throughout your use of our 24K Program services, you agree and allow PJLI to
use your personal information for the following purposes:
1. To create and nurture a relationship with you.
We collect personal information about you when you apply for our products and services so
that we can validate your identity. We use your personal information for providing you the
best products, services and rewards.
2. Getting to know you better.
We also collect personal information about you through other activities such as our market
research initiatives, when you visit and use our websites PJLI, and from our subsidiaries,
affiliates, and third-party business partners to whom you have given your consent for them
to share your information with us.
3. The improvement of our business and operations.
We analyze data about how you use our products and services to help us manage your account
better, to provide you with customer care activities, to ensure your fair use of our
products and services, to monitor the quality and security of our technology, to train our
staff, and to plan for our future growth. We do this so that we can continue to provide you
with the best experience for the products and services that you avail from us.
4. The improvement of our products and services.
We analyze how you use our products and services so that we can understand how to improve
them for your benefit. Our analysis may include some sensitive information about your usage,
such as the general locations and sites that you may frequent. In all cases, we ensure to
aggregate and anonymize this information so that you are never identified as an
individual.
* Aggregating simply means presenting information in segments or categories like age groups;
anonymizing means removing information that can personally identify you from the data.
5. Sending you product recommendations, special offers, and promos.
We will send you offers that we think will interest you. We keep a record of the products
and services that you avail from us so that we can gain a better insight of the kinds of
offers that would be relevant to you. We also analyze the places where you may have used our

6. To interact with you on Social Media.
We place advertisements about our latest products and promotions on some of the most
popular Websites, Social Media, and Search platforms. We may share information such as your
mobile number, e-mail address, and cookies (from when you visit our websites) with the likes
of Facebook and Google, to ensure that advertisements about our special offers are seen by
you, as you browse their websites and apps.
7. Compliance with other legal and regulatory requirements.
We perform other activities and disclose data in cases where we are required to do so for us
to comply with government laws, rules, or regulations and with other legal processes and
orders.
There are some instances where we may need to share your information to our subsidiaries and
