Cebuana Subscription: Terms and Conditions

Introduction 

Welcome to Cebuana Lhuillier’s Subscription Service (“Service”). By enrolling in this Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This offer is available exclusively to customers who wish to enjoy special privileges for a one-time fee. Please read these Terms carefully before subscribing. 

Definition of Terms  

Cebuana Subscription Service – refers to the Cebuana Lhuillier program that grants subscribers exclusive perks and benefits for a fixed period of six (6) months, in exchange for a subscription fee of Forty-Nine Pesos (₱49.00). 

Offer Period – the limited timeframe during which customers may avail of the Cebuana Subscription Service. 

Subscription Period – the six (6) consecutive months of validity of the Cebuana Subscription, counted from the date of successful enrollment. 

Subscriber – a customer who has paid the required subscription fee during the Offer Period and is officially registered under the Cebuana Subscription Service. 

Pawn Value – refers to the total loan amount of the pawned item. 

Force Majeure – refers to unforeseeable events or circumstances beyond Cebuana Lhuillier’s control such as natural disasters, government declarations, or disruptions in operations that may affect the availment of benefits under the Cebuana Subscription Service. 

Home Branch – designated Cebuana Lhuillier branch where the customer engaged in a pawn transaction which shall exclusively handle the availment of the Pawn Renewal Grace Period benefit. 

Cebuana Subscription Service Program 

The Cebuana Subscription Service is a program offering exclusive benefits to Subscribers (“Subscription Benefits”) for a fixed period of six (6) months which shall begin from the date of enrollment (“Subscription Period”). The subscription is available for a fee of Forty-Nine Pesos (₱49.00) (“Subscription Fee”). Subscription to the Service may be availed only during the offer period, which runs from October 01, 2025, to December 31, 2025 (“Offer Period”). Any subscription application received outside of this period will not be processed.  

Benefits of Subscription 

  1. 5-Day Grace Period for Pawn Renewal for single pawn ticket for a customer 

Subscribers are entitled to a one-time grace period of five (5) calendar days for items with Pawn Value of Twelve Thousand Pesos (₱12,000) or below. This grace period begins immediately after the latest due date, during which the client may renew or redeem the item without incurring additional penalty charges. However, the original due date shall still be considered the official due date for all legal and procedural purposes. It will not be extended even if the branch is closed due to holidays, declared non-business days, or events of Force Majeure. Transactions completed on the next business day following the grace period will be subject to standard renewal or redemption rates and any applicable fees.  

This privilege may be availed only at the client’s Home Branch and it is not accessible through Cebuana Renewal Anywhere. 

After the grace period, applicable fees and auction procedures, as set forth in the Pawnshop Regulation Act (Presidential Decree No. 114) and BSP regulations, will apply. 

      2. One (1) Free Domestic Remittance Sending 

Subscribers are entitled to one (1) free domestic remittance sending per month, with a maximum value of Fifty Thousand Pesos (₱50,000). This benefit is available at any authorized Cebuana Lhuillier branch (https://cebuanalhuillier.com/branch-locator/) and shall not be carried over to the subsequent months for the duration of the Subscription Period. The transaction must be initiated by the registered Subscriber and is non-transferable, non-convertible to cash, and subject to identity verification and compliance with AML/KYC regulations. If the amount exceeds ₱50,000, standard transaction fees will apply to the full amount.  

Cebuana Lhuillier reserves the right  to withhold redemption in situations where eligibility requirements are not met or program guidelines are not followed. 

       3. Entry into a Subscriber-exclusive raffle 

Subscribers will have the chance to join exclusive raffles held during the Subscription Period, with entry strictly limited to paid Subscribers. Each Subscriber is entitled to a number/s of raffle entry/ies, subject to the official mechanics and applicable laws and regulations. Raffle entries are strictly non-transferable and cannot be converted to cash or exchanged for any other benefit. 

       4. Access to exclusive partner discounts on products and services 

Subscribers will gain access to exclusive partner discounts on select products and services throughout the Subscription Period. These discounts are offered in partnership with accredited merchants and may vary in availability, terms, and coverage. Offers are non-transferable, subject to change without prior notice, and cannot be converted to cash or combined with other promotions unless otherwise stated by the partner. 

Cancellation and Refund Policy  

The Subscriber agrees that all subscriptions to the Services are final and non-cancellable. The Subscription Fee is non-refundable, whether in full or in part, regardless of the Subscriber’s actual use of the Subscription Benefits or voluntary termination of this Agreement. Exceptions to this policy shall only apply in cases where a refund is required by applicable laws, regulations, or in instances of Cebuana Lhuillier’s proven fault or breach of this Agreement. 

Cebuana Lhuillier reserves the right to assess requests for refund based on the facts presented, these Terms and Conditions and applicable laws or regulations. 

Disclaimer Of Warranty 

The services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Cebuana Lhuillier does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or uninterrupted availability of the services or content. We disclaim all warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not allowed under applicable law. Use of the services is at your sole risk. 

Limitation of Liability  

To the extent allowed by law, Cebuana Lhuillier and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. If liability is found, it will be limited to the total amount paid for the subscription. This limitation may not apply where prohibited by law. 

Termination of Subscription 

Cebuana Lhuillier reserves the right to terminate or suspend your subscription at any time, without prior notice or liability, at its sole discretion, including but not limited to cases of fraud, misuse, or breach of these Terms. If you wish to end your subscription, you may do so by simply discontinuing use of the Service; however, no refunds will be issued for early termination. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination—such as those related to disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity—shall remain in effect. 

Governing Law 

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Philippines, which governing law applies to agreement without regard to its conflict of law provisions. 

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding Service. 

Amendments To Terms 

Cebuana Lhuillier, may at any time and for reasons it may deem proper, amend, revise or modify these Terms and Conditions. Any such amendment, revision or modification shall bind the Client upon notice (personal or by publication, through posting on the company’s website, https://cebuanalhuillier.com/. If the Client does not agree with the new/revised terms and conditions, he/she must notify the Company to terminate the agreement within sixty (60) days from receipt of the individual notice or sixty (60) days from issuance of public notice. Failure to notify the company within the prescribed period shall be construed as acceptance by the Client of any such amendments, revisions or modifications.

PJ Lhuillier, Inc., the company behind Cebuana Lhuillier, is committed to respecting and protecting your data privacy rights as a data subject in accordance with RA 10173 (“Data Privacy Law of 2012”), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, related issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and other applicable laws of the Republic of the Philippines 

By availing of this paid subscription, the Subscriber consents to the collection, use and processing of their personal data, in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Notice available at https://www.cebuanalhuillier.com/privacy-policy. 

Why do we process your personal information (PI)? 

We process PI for the following reasons: 

  • Process your transaction(s) whenever you avail of our products and services; 
  • Address your inquiries, concerns or complaints; 
  • Comply with laws and regulations governing our products and services (i.e. AMLA, CIC, etc); and 
  • Inform you about our new product/services offerings and promotions (“direct marketing”).  


Data Sharing
 

We may also share your PI with: 

  • Our accredited third-party personal information processors such as contractors, vendors, financial and legal consultants. 
  • Our affiliate companies (for commercial purposes, including direct marketing, profiling, cross-selling) 


Such data sharing shall be done in a manner compliant with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Your PI may also be processed electronically and/or manually.
 

What information do we process? 

To process general inquiries or concerns about the products and services we offer:

To process your transactions covered by RA 9160, Anti-Money Laundering Law Act of 2001, as amended:
 

  • Name 
  • Present address 
  • Date and place of birth 
  • Nature of work, name of employer or nature of self-employment/business 
  • Contact details 
  • Specimen signature 
  • Source of funds 
  • Permanent address 
  • Nationality 
  • Identification Cards 
  • Name, present address, date and place of birth, nature of work and source of funds of beneficial owner or beneficiary, whenever applicable 
  • When the customer or authorized representative is a foreign national, passport or Alien Certificate of Registration issued by the Bureau of Immigration 


As part of due diligence, we may collect information about religious affiliation in the event the date of birth cannot be provided (due to religious beliefs) as this is required information under the law.
 

Security Measures 

We employ a combination of organizational, contractual, physical, procedural and technical security measures to secure your PI that we process.  Access to your PI is limited to authorized personnel only. We will retain your PI for a minimum of ten (10) years in order to comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, and to address any legitimate business, legal, or operational needs. 

Access, Correction and Erasure/Blocking 

You have the right to request a copy of your PI that we keep as well as request the correction of any inaccurate data. 

You also have the right to request the suspension, withdrawal, blocking, removal, or destruction of your personal information from our systems if the data is unlawfully obtained, unauthorized purpose, or no longer necessary for the purpose. However, please note that we may retain certain personal data as required to comply with applicable laws and regulations set by other regulatory authorities. 

You have the right to request a copy of your personal information (PI) that we maintain, as well as to request the correction or rectification of any inaccurate or incomplete data. 

Consent 

You have the right to object or withhold consent to the processing of your PI. However, if you choose not to provide us with the required PI, we may be unable to provide you with the service requested or provide appropriate advice or service. 

Limitation on Rights 

The foregoing rights with respect to your PI shall not apply to the processing of personal data gathered for the purpose of investigations in relation to any criminal, administrative or tax liabilities that you may have, provided that we will process the same only to the minimum extent necessary to achieve the purpose of said investigations.

By subscribing to and using the paid subscription service, you, the Subscriber, acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
